VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
- Junior Docent Tour Guides
- Museum Greeters

- Special Event Assistants
JUNIOR DOCENT TOUR GUIDE: Are you curious or interested in historic houses and Florida History? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and passion with others? Then join our docents at any of our three museums, May Stringer House, 1885 Train Depot or Countryman Family One Room School and welcome visitors to our historic buildings. Engage guests in conversation about community life, architectural styles, artifacts and more. One on one training and mentoring by experienced volunteers is provided.
MUSEUM GREETERS: Meet school groups, tours and visitors, provide tour information, help guests and answer questions within each house.
GROUNDS ASSISTANTS: Do you love gardening and outdoor maintenance? Help keep our museums pathways, porches and walkways clear of debris and provide upkeep to planting around the house. May Stringer house volunteers will provide interesting info on growing gardens in Florida.
If you would like to apply for the scholarship, please let us know. Print and fill out an application. Then mail it or drop it off at one of the museums.
