The Hernando Historical Museum Association provides the community with the opportunity to step into the past and learn the history of the county and the state of Florida.

Your donation will help to continue this service.

School groups from public, private and home schooling use the three museums as teaching tools for the children. Scouting groups visit the museums, as well as older adult groups.

Visitors from around the country and as far away as England have enjoyed the Hernando County museums. Our guests are amazed to find such a delightful experience when guided by the hard working and knowledably volunteers.

The Museums Association is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. We receive no sustaining funds from the city, county, or state governments. Our doors are kept open and the bills paid by the small entrance fee, special fundraising events, and donators like you.
