The Hernando Historical Museum Association provides the community with the opportunity to step into the past and learn the history of the county and the state of Florida.

The Museums Association is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. We receive no sustaining funds from the city, county, or state governments. Our doors are kept open and the bills paid by the small entrance fee, special fundraising events, and donators like you.

There are several ways you can support your museums:

Membership – Become a member of the Hernando Historical Museum Association. Your contributions will help preserve the rich history and heritage of our area. VolunteerBecome a volunteer at one of our museums.

The backbone of our organization are its volunteers. They make the organization a success. You can volunteer for as little as three hours a week by training to be a docent or contribute your skills with carpentry, yard work, and special events.

We can find a place for you.

If you are interested, please visit one of the museums and talk to one of our volunteers.  They will tell you firsthand what it is like volunteering for the Hernando Historic Museum Association.

Please submit your volunteer application online HERE or scan the QR Code below.

Otherwise download, print, and fill out the Form.  Downloaded Form will be found in your download folder.  Then mail or drop it off.  Someone will then contact you.
